Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) of Staircase | Calculation & Example Explained

  • Floor Height= 300mm
  • Riser= 260mm
  • Tread= 260mm
  • Width=1100mm

No. of Tread= 10-1=9

Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) of Staircase | Calculation & Example Explained
Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) of Staircase | Calculation & Example Explained
  1. Cutting Length of Main Bar

(300-25) + (2702) + (1100-260) + (250-25) + (300-165-25+20) – (2 x 1 x 12) – (1 x 2 x 12)

= 4124mm

2 x 1 x 12 – (No. x 1D 45deg)
1 x 2 x 12 – (No x 2D 90 deg)

2. Cutting Length of Top Extra (Part-A)

(300-25) + (0.3 x L.W.S) – (1 x 2 x 12)

= 1073.6

1 x 2 x 12 – (No x 2D 90 deg)

3. Cutting Length of Top Extra (Part-B)

(0.3 x L.W.S) + (1100 – 260) + (250 – 25) + (300 -25 – 25) – (1 x 1 x D) – (1 x 2 x D)

= 2113.6mm

1 x 1 x D (No. x 1D 45deg)
1 x 2 x D – (No x 2D 90 deg)

4. Cutting Length of Distribution Bar in Waist Slab

(1075 – 20 – 20) = 1035mm

5. Cutting Length of Distribution Bar in Landing

(2200 – 20 – 20) = 2160 mm

6. No’s of Main Bar

1035/150 + 1 = 7.9 = 8 No’s

7. No’s of Top Extra

Part-1 = 8 No’s
Part-1 = 8 No’s
Both are same

8. No. of distribution Bar at Waist Slab in Bottom

2702/150 + 1 = 20 No’s

9. No. of Distribution Bar at Waist Slab in Top

(0.3 x 2702)/150 + 1 = 7

for both part A & part B = 7 x 2 = 14 No’s

10. No of Distribution Bar at Landing

(1100-260)/150 + 1 = 7 No’s

for top & Bottom = 7 X 2 = 14 No’s
